Lakume

// Ingredients

• Plain flour — 500 g
• Milk — 250 ml
• Dry yeast — 7 g
• Eggs — 2
• Sugar — 2 tbsp
• Salt — 1 tsp
• Vegetable oil — 2 tbsp for the dough and 500 ml for frying

// Method

1. 01Dissolve the yeast with the sugar in warm milk and leave for 10 minutes.
2. 02Add the eggs, salt, oil and flour, knead a soft dough and leave somewhere warm for an hour.
3. 03Roll the dough out 7–8 mm thick and cut into diamonds.
4. 04Let them rise for another 15 minutes.
5. 05Deep-fry over medium heat for about a minute on each side until golden.
6. 06Drain on paper towels. Serve with tea, honey or cheese.
